I ate leftover chicken parm and pasta I made the other night. It was glorious. Tostadas are my daughters’ favorite. Our neighbors own a taco truck and they’re always asking to get tostadas from it while they’re cooking at night.

Bachelorette life is similar. I’m eating these tostadas on my couch, with a little TV tray like a Florida retiree.

There’s a small space cleared on my dining room table. It’s for my laptop, lol. (I can only concentrate on my writing when I’m sitting in a proper chair with proper posture).

I’d give you an SR20, but I rarely take pics of food. This is as close as it gets, made some eggplant parmesan a month ago and sent a picture to my sister, also delicious and more labor intensive; but since I have no job, I make mimosas and cook all day, it’s great/

I had chips and salsa for dinner. On my bed, because the couch is full of laundry I haven’t folded. In my defense, I just finished a 600 page report and my life can finally get back to normal(ish) now. (So, chips and salsa for dinner in front of the Xbox).

I think I have some TV trays around here somewhere, but the only time I really used them was to mount a steering wheel so that I could play GT6 back when I had a 55" TV. Now that the TV is dead I really have no reason to use the living room. I think there’s a couch in there somewhere, but I haven’t checked lately. It was pretty nice, as I recall, but since there’s no computer in that room I don’t feel the need to go in there.

I did switch to a wireless keyboard which makes it much easier to clear a spot for dinner. Now I just need to do something about the pile of dirty dishes in the hallway. It’s sort of like reverse Jenga, where I’m always trying to find ingenious ways of stacking more on top of the pile.

I was literally about to eat, when I got hit with intense nausea, and all that entails. And I hadn’t eaten anything, so I was still kinda hungry and also had nothing to send forth into the porcelain yonder (I’ll spare you the not-fun details).

But then I got better and had Yats, which is a local Cajun place. Had Drunken Chicken (sone one else’s photo of the same thing, since it’s now in my belly).

Agreed. But there’s only so much time between getting off work and being ready to collapse for the night. I miss the days when I could surf the web at work, freeing up my evenings for more productive matters. The IT department at my new job really has the filters locked down tight on the firewall, however, as a former admin myself I know that they will never block their favorite tech-related sites, so those are available to me. On the flip side, I like the new job and don’t mind the work, so there isn’t really time to screw around on the Internet until I get home.

Yeah, when they moved in I was like fuck yeah. They strip the paint off and have different artists paint it up every couple of months so it adds a nice ambiance to the street as well.

I made the chicken parm for a friend and her boyfriend the other night. I’m an amateur cook, and my friend didn’t tell me her boyfriend was a chef in Tijuana who now works for a somewhat famous local chef. He gave me some tips which was nice.
